Basics of Supply Chain Risk & Resiliency: WHAT is it, WHY is it Important and HOW do I get started?

Start off with a couple of terms and definitions. What is Supply Chain Risk & Resilience (SCR&R). Introduce a couple of basic risk terms. Differentiate between supply chain performance management and SCR&R. Share with the audience a couple of exemplar SCR&R companies, what they have at their disposal and how they identify, assess, mitigate and manage supply chain risks.

Provide some compelling reasons to act. First and foremost–Building a Resilient Enterprise. Then, Top-of-Mind CEO survey findings—what’s keeping CEO’s up at night. (Gartner, McKinsey, World Economic Forum, Conference Board) And finally, actual financial impact statistics from risk events around the globe.

Acquire as much knowledge as possible: Read books, take courses, etc

Figure out where your organization is today

Plan targeted interventions to build internal capacity and structure a path to SCR&R
